Amphetamines, commonly known as “Speed”, is a drug which acts as a stimulant making the user feel energized and more alert. The drug can cause fatalities due to the sudden change of heart rate when the drug is active, as well as when the effect starts to wear off, speeding and slowing down heart rates respectively.

Amphetamine typically takes the form of a crystal which is broken up to a powder, similar to cocaine, which is then taken by snorting through the nose, in drinks or eaten with an easily digestible cigarette paper.
